Basically Babylon is drugs: that is the riches of the material world. ‘On your wine the nations of the earth have become drunk, you trade in ivory, pearls, gold, jewels, and the souls of men. All nations are have drunken your fornication and gone mad with it.’ The due judgement will come upon them for this.
The man who is a city slicker and about money, fast cars and ting like that, and has never touched even a class C in his life, is still a drug addict as far as God is concerned. One drug supplier, and you've bought off him. Crack, opium, oil, diamonds, they all destroy men and are run at enormous human cost, and they pervert the life of man and his purpose. He forgets about God → he is drunk. To be drunk is to be disconnected with reality. To be drugged is to ignore the God who is reality (the way, the truth and the life).
Fascinating, you could almost guarantee that a bus going into the city in the morning would be as full of drug addicts as St Mungo's in Battersea. In God's eyes.
Which would be enough to put everyone on a level playing field, EXCEPT, the people on the bus generally do not think of themselves as junkies, and look down on the St Mungo's folk as drug addicts. While the St M's folk will be well aware of their desparate condition normally. Which makes a world of difference in God's eyes. They at least are not guilty of hypocracy/pride/self-righteousness which God hates.
what we found
We got high, and it was beautiful. The first few times. With weed the first many times. But with the chemicals very soon it turned a bit sour (with the sweet occaisionally). Then you end up taking the stuff to get out of it. Just check all dese quotes and do they not describe it? They did for me:
For the lips of an immoral woman drip honey,
And her mouth is smoother than oil;
that's how it is to begin with eh?
But in the end she is bitter as wormwood,
Sharp as a two-edged sword.
Her feet go down to death,
Her steps lay hold of hell.
With her enticing speech
she caused him to yield,
With her flattering lips
she seduced him.
Immediately he went after her,
as an ox goes to the slaughter,
Or as a fool to the correction of the stocks,
Till an arrow struck his liver
As a bird hastens to the snare,
He did not know it would take his life.
Man when I read that I thought: 4 real, it was beautiful to start with, I was suckered off the playground into that car by some beautiful honeyed sweets and then my brain was jacked all over the place, and my life & mind went to pieces, stage by stage. Man and that second bit, so true, we were boys when we set out down this path it was just a game, but it is so so serious, did my friend when I was 17 know now he would not be living cos of the road we took? No, we did not know. We were ignorant, of her power and danger. An check this immediately following that last quote:
Now therefore, listen to me, my children [this is wisdom speaking who is the counterpart to folly/the immoral woman];
Pay attention to the words of my mouth:
Do not let your heart turn aside to her ways,
Do not stray into her paths;
For she has cast down many wounded,
And all who were slain by her were strong men.
Ain't the old book right again? How many do you know who've been wounded by drugs who've had contact with them. I can't think of many people who got bang into them who got away unscarred. And were not many of them strong men in their day, of sound mind? The lockdown kru know how many strong men there are whose lives have been turned upside down and minds trashed by gear. GBH on alcohol. Thiefing for a habit. Lives taken or injuries inflicted forever cos they are out of their minds, or money is owed. Sleeping around and destroying those you love when drunk, getting kids you cannot care for. The guilt with you every day, never leaving you. And how much does that hurt? YOu know it is no silly game, but life. Strong men broken. This thing is true is it not? And if it is so true of the above, what if it is true of what it says after that:
Her house is the way to hell,
Descending to the chambers of death
In every way I have found my man never to lie, never. EVerything he says is not for a joke, nor to kill joy but to keep it. A friend was telling me the other day, ‘What must i not sleep with lasses until I die all for this pie in the sky? and what if it ain't there?’ and yet at the same time the greatest burden keeping him from jumping off a buidling is the children he has got and it kills him so much that he is failing to be a father for them. The guilt he cannot bear, what pleasure does it bring you. Its all just pain. Sex in the right place is beautiful a picture of the true unity we are meant to have with God, intimate committed love expressed and totally secure pleasure enjoyed. Aye, ‘stolen water is sweet’, but there is something better and pure, where there are no dead people: the true vvine, bread from heaven - the arab carpenter is the medicine to give you complete peace with God and therefore the whole enormous universe and beyond—and that is everything you are after and need...
Peace then, sorry for ranting, but my mind got involved, and I thought better something up here on this subject than nothing.
Beyond hallucinogens we look for the appearing of our Lord in his full and awesome glory, the Day will burst on us with the unsearchable riches of Jesus Christ, the indescribable gift of God, my mind will then be blown, and the cobwebs of confusion and pain that still circle it gone forever: made pure in truth. With my whole family (not according to this world) there, at peace, in pure joy. This is what we dreamed of when we were kids. It will happen. Ecstacy is where life is meant to be—there remains only one way, one person to take you there. Please buy from him, he sells freely to those who will come to him.
